Changes Made After Feedback


After watching back a video of someone playing the game and listening to some feedback, I think I’ve been able to make my game a lot more fun. Of course, RPG maker clunk strikes again and made one of the suggestions a bit tricky to implement. But I found a middle ground

  • There will be several different weapon types through the game. Each one will have differing pros and cons. For instance, the bow gives players a 1.25x damage buff, at the cost of having a trickier timing minigame that if failed results in a miss. The sword deals less damage, however it is much more reliable. Since the player can increase their attack stat through stat allocation, I found it to be redundant to have weapons increase your overall attack.
  • Options on the talk menu now have varying degrees of success. For example, you need lower charm to bribe the guards out front than you need in order to ask them politely to let you in, at the cost of course of some gold

I might be a tiny bit in over my head with this project, but I am determined to see it through to the end
